Blend the ingredients for the marinade into a paste. Brush
a little clarified butter or oil on a ridged grill or pan
and heat to high. Grill the steaks for 4 minutes turning once.
On one side of the Turner Strips, slash a few cuts and spread
the butter onto the steaks, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Continue to grill to desired doneness. Grill between 5 to
6 minutes for a rare strip.
Clean and slice potatoes using a mandolin into 1/8" thick
slices, and soak in ice water for several hours, or overnight
in the refrigerator. Heat oil in a deep fryer and preheat
oven to 300 degrees. Drain and pat dry potatoes fry the potatoes
in several small separate batches until crisp. Sprinkle with
salt and transfer to a baking sheet. Place in the oven until
ready to serve
